The short version
Both are monthly local SEO tools, not one-off reports. BrightLocal is a broader suite: local SEO audits, local rank tracking, listings and reputation tools on higher plans, and a Local AI Visibility Tracker on every plan from Track up. Local Falcon is known for geo-grid map rank scans, which show how you rank from many points across your area. It has added AI visibility tracking, and you pay in credits.
BrightLocal
For one location, BrightLocal has three plans:
- Track: $41/month, or $31/month billed annually. It includes the Local AI Visibility Tracker, local SEO audits and local rank tracking for up to 100 keywords and four competitors.
- Manage: $54/month, or $40/month billed annually. It adds listing management and AI Insights.
- Grow: $65/month, or $49/month billed annually. It adds review monitoring and review generation.
There's a 14-day free trial, and no credit card is required. Prices go up with the number of locations.
Local Falcon
Local Falcon sells monthly credit packages: Starter is $24.99, Basic $49.99, Pro $99.99 and Premium $199.99. Annual billing is available, for example Starter at $299.88 a year. Credits are used for scans. For example, each point on a map grid uses one credit, and a Falcon AI analysis of a scan uses 25 credits. Credits on monthly packages expire at the end of each month, and credits on annual plans at the end of each year. Along with map rank tracking, Local Falcon offers AI visibility tracking with brand mention and source tracking. You get 100 free credits when you sign up, with no credit card needed.
Where a one-time report fits
If what you really want to know is "does AI recommend my business, and who does it name instead?", you may not need a monthly tool yet. Cognitive Authority's report is a one-time $69 + applicable sales tax. It covers up to 16 customer-style questions for your city and category, with a competitor comparison, a 90-day action plan and every AI answer word for word. It doesn't do rank tracking, listings or reviews. For those, BrightLocal or Local Falcon is the right kind of tool.
